Deputy Chief Dusty Meredith joined the Rogers Fire Department in 2000. He began his fire service career with the Cave Springs Fire Department, serving as chief for several years. He promoted to Captain in 2004 and was assigned to both Engine 2 and Ladder 1 for most of his career as a company officer. He is a paramedic and was a former director of the Department’s Fire Investigation Team before it was disbanded in 2010. Chief Meredith graduated from the Arkansas Chief Officer Program in 2011, completed his Bachelors degree in Fire Science Administration in 2015, and successfully completed the National Fire Academy Executive Officer Program in 2021. He was recognized with a Meritorious Service Award in 2012 and as part of the Fire Company of the Year in 2017. In 2018, he promoted to Battalion Chief and was assigned as the Tour Commander for the “B” Platoon. On September 8, 2019, Chief Meredith was promoted to Deputy Chief and was assigned the Training Division. During that time he led the construction of a million dollar remodel and enhancement of the training campus, including a new state of the art burn building. He was a member of the IFSTA validation committee from 2020-2021 for Structural Fire Fighting: Initial Response Strategy and Tactics, 3rd edition. In January of 2021, Chief Meredith was reassigned to his current position as Deputy Chief of the Field Operations Division.
