How long is a permit valid?
Permits are valid for up to 6 months (180 days) as long as the work is receiving inspections. A permit shall become null and void if the proposed work is not started within 6 months of issuance or when work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 6 months after work is started. Extensions can be requested and may be granted upon the authorization of the building official, otherwise they will be required to be re-permitted.
