Battalion Chief Dusty Qualls joined the Rogers Fire Department in 2006. He is a paramedic and was a part of the Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) team for many years. He promoted to Captain in 2011 and was assigned to some of the busiest fire companies in the city, including Engine 2 and Ladder 1. During his time as Captain he was recognized as the Company Officer of the Year in 2013 and 2016 and as part of Fire Company of the Year in 2012. In 2019, he promoted to Battalion Chief and is currently assigned as the Tour Commander for the “B” Platoon. Chief Qualls started his fire service career as a volunteer firefighter for the Avoca Fire Department. Chief Qualls has a Bachelors Degree in Emergency Medical Services Administration from Columbia Southern University.
