The 11,000-square foot fitness center is designed for cardiovascular exercise, strength training, flexibility, and balance training. An indoor track with a specialized rubber surface features treadmills, Nu-Steps, elliptical trainers, recumbent and upright bikes, row machine, octane stepper, and an arm ergometer complete the cardiovascular side.
Strength Training Equipment
Strength training equipment designed for the aging body includes the Keiser pneumatic line. Free Motion equipment is also available for functional strength and balance training. Included in the free weight section are exercise balls, hand weights, and a rail system with tubes and bands, perfect for beginners. Many exercises pieces meet ADA requirements, and the fitness center is set up following the strictest ADA guidelines.
Flat screen televisions are offered for your entertainment and distraction. Daily free equipment orientations are offered, and the fitness center is staffed with qualified personnel to answer questions during most open hours of the building. A Cardio Club and a Walking Club are two of our more popular activities. Also available for member use is an automatic blood pressure machine, scale, body fat analyzer, and heart rate monitors.
Complete access to the fitness center and all of its amenities is included in your membership. A fee-based strength training class that offers a more in depth personal training approach is available as well. Ask at the fitness center desk or front desk for more details. Check out the Fitness Orientation Calendar (PDF) for more information. If you have any further questions, please email Don Farmer or call 479-631-3333.
