Robert Rousey

A life-long love of antiquity and cartographic theory has been the sustaining drive for Robert, since his early days growing up in rural Arkansas. He attended Kingston High School, until he graduated in 1994. Soon after he made his greatest decision of his young life, when he asked his sweetheart for her hand in marriage.

Married now 14 years, he resides in Bentonville with his wife, Eva, and daughter Ciarrah. Like his wife, he attended the University of Arkansas where he earned 2 bachelor degrees, one in geography and another in history, in 2005.

Robert worked for the museum as a volunteer, museum guide, and education assistant before being promoted to his current position. In his spare time, Robert enjoys fishing with his family, hunting with his father, reading, and map collecting. He especially likes old maps because “map makers would put more history on maps than explorers would put in their notes”.
