CITY OF ROGERS CELEBRATES 137th ANNIVERSARY WITH EVENTS AND HISTORIC RAIL CAR
ROGERS, AR— The City of Rogers is celebrating its 137th anniversary on Thursday, May 10th, marking the first date a Frisco locomotive arrived in the City. To celebrate, the 100-year-old A&M train commuter car #104 “Biloxi Blues” will be on track by the Downtown Rogers Farmers Market, and will have free tours.
The Downtown Rogers Farmers Market will also be hosting the Community Engagement Kickoff for the Redesign of Frisco Park. Ross Barney Architects of Chicago, IL will be collecting feedback from the community to help guide the redesign of the park. The meeting will take place at the Downtown Rogers Farmers Market, from 4-7 p.m. There will be activities for kids with engagement sessions led by Ross Barney Architects. The event will be a drop-in format with the opportunity for discussion and interactive brainstorming exercises.
Downtown Rogers’ businesses will also be hosting guest artists and musicians from across NW Arkansas and showcase their work for the monthly ‘Art on the Bricks’ walk. This is the perfect way for art enthusiasts, foodies and fun seekers to enjoy the Bricks of Downtown Rogers! This monthly event is presented by downtown business owners in cooperation with: Main Street Rogers, Inc., Go Downtown Rogers, Arkansas Public Theatre, Rogers Experimental House, Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce & Visit Rogers, AR
