Temporary Pedestrian/Biking Trail Closure Near Interstate 49 in Rogers
ROGERS – Construction work to widen I-49 in Rogers requires workabove a pedestrian/biking trail, according to Arkansas State Highway and TransportationDepartment (AHTD) officials.
During overnight hours from Sunday night, June 25 through Thursday morning, June 29, the Razorback Greenway Trail south of Exit 82 Promenade Boulevard will be closed to allow crews to paint bridge steel. The work will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.each night, weather permitting. Only the section of the Trail that passes under I-49 will be closed.
This project (Job CA0901) is part of AHTD’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includeswidening 5 miles of I-49 to three lanes in each direction. The work extends fromHighway 264 in Lowell to New Hope Road in Rogers, and it is expected to complete inlate 2017.
