Pedal with the Police is a new community outreach program sponsored by the Rogers Police Department.
During the summer months (June, July, August), the Rogers Police Department Bike Patrol will host a community bike-along each weekend along different sections of the new Northwest Arkansas Razorback Greenways bike trail and other bike trails in Rogers.
Enhancing the quality of life in the City of Rogers is a shared effort between the citizens of the Rogers and Law Enforcement. The Pedal with the Police bike-along program encourages community involvement with law enforcement in a relaxed, open air environment. The bike-along offers citizens an opportunity to speak with officers about any community issues and build relationships while enjoying the great outdoors. Pedal with the Police encourages open communication between the police department and citizens of Rogers so that, together, efforts can be made to reduce crime and the fear of crime in the City of Rogers.
The RPD Bike Patrol will host two separate rides each weekend. A ride of approximately 12 miles on Saturday’s will begin at the Rogers High School trailhead; a ride of approximately 7 miles on Sunday’s will begin at Cambridge Park trailhead. Each ride begins at 8 a.m.
All participants are encouraged to wear bike helmets. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
